It’s Bobby Brown vs. The Houstons.... Round II. Bobby Brown went to court this week to take over legal guardianship of his daughter Bobbi Kris. Bobbi Kris has been unconscious since being found January 31st face down in a tub of water. She is no longer on machines and breathing on her own, but according to her grandmother Cissy Houston, she has irreversible brain damage. Millions of dollars are at stake with Bobbi Kris’ inheritance from her late mother Whitney Houston. The Houstons, Grandmom Cissy and Aunt Pat Houston, do not want Bobby to have his hands on that money. Will a judge rule in Bobby's favor? Will he be able to do what’s best for his daughter?

Marvin Gaye's ex-wife is ready to tell all! Janis Gaye was Marvin Gaye's second wife and mother of his two youngest children. Jan Gaye has a new book called After The Dance: My Life With Marvin Gaye. She wrote the book with Author David Ritz. Ritz is considered the author of the definitive Marvin Gaye biography, 1985's Divided soul. Divided Soul came to life as a result of Ritz traveling and interviewing Marvin the last few years of Marvin's life. In Jan Gaye's book, she talks about the drugs and cheating. Jan met Marvin Gaye when she was still in high school. Jan was 17. Marvin was 33.... and still married to Anna Gordy, Berry sister. Jan went on the have two children with Marvin (Frankie Gaye and Singer Actress Nona Gaye). Jan describes in the book how Marvin got turned on when she cheated. She talked about affair with Teddy Pendergrass, and how Marvin stalked them. She says Marvin even pushed her into an affair with Frankie Beverly. After she had her children, he would criticize her body saying she had saggy breasts and stretch marks. Jan says drugs destroyed Marvin and their marriage, which lasted from 1977 to 1981.

Tyler Perry..... A Ninja Turtle?!!!!! Yes! He’s going to be in their next movie. He’s also touring the country in a new Madea stage play, Madea On The Run. He could be coming to Philly........sssshhhh!!!!!!! I’m not supposed to talk about it yet!!!!!!!!!

Why was Actor Patrick Dempsey dismissed from Grey's Anatomy after 11 seasons? Last week, the character “Derek Shepherd,” a.k.a “Dr. McDreamy,” was killed off. What happened? He still had a year on his contract. Sources say his bad behavior got in the way. He was showing up late, forgetting lines, and he was even suspended a while back. Grey's Boss Shonda Rhimes had had enough!! When he left there were no tears or goodbye party.

Is Mariah Carey dissing her estranged ex-husband, Nick Cannon, in her new song Infinity? In the song, she says Boy, You’re Acting So Corny.....Like Fritos. Many are saying it sounds like a 90’s breakup song dealing with heartbreak and heartache. It's actually from Carey's forthcoming re-release of her No. 1's album. Carey is currently preparing for her concert residency in Las Vegas.

What is going on with Comedian Dave Chappelle? At a recent show in Detroit, Chapelle showed up late, told few jokes and appeared in a drunken state. Was he drunk? Well drunk or not, folks wanted their money back. Chappelle’s career has not been right since he turned down a $50 million deal from Comedy Central to continue producing his very popular 90's variety program Chappelle's Show.

Two recent independent movies came out last week. The movie Brotherly Love, written and directed by Philly's own Jamal Hill and starring KeKe Palmer, Romeo (Jumping The Broom; Dancing With The Stars), Cory Hardrict (American Sniper) and Quincy Brown (son of Al B. Sure), grossed $246,000 playing in the limited release of 200 theatres. Blackbyrd starring Mo'Nique and Isiah Washington played in 13 theatres and grossed $45,000.

Viola Davis has been tapped for the HBO bio-pic about Harriett Tubman. Davis would play the freedom fighting pioneer who was born a slave, escaped and developed a secret escape route using the legendary Underground Railroad, which is what white abolitionists and black slaves utilized to help slaves escape from slave states to free states in America. Tubman also had safe houses for escaped slaves. She became known as Moses, named after the biblical figure who lead the Hebrews from bondage. Tubman led more than 300 slaves to freedom in the north, and then she fought with the Union during the Civil War. Davis is still in the development stages of the project and she and her husband, Julius Tennon, are slated to be among the executive producers. Davis returns to ABC this fall for season two of How To Get Away With Murder.

Is former child star Raven Symone joining the ABC daytime talker The View? Producers like the former Cosby kid. When she guest co-hosted earlier this season, producers found Symone interesting and provocative. Is she close to inking a deal? They need a younger host on the show…but will Raven Symone fit in? She's also known for saying a lot of dumb things......just saying.

Speaking of The View, former co-host, Comedienne Sherri Shepherd, is not going to let a recent court ruling get her down. Last week, a Pennsylvania judge ruled that Shepherd will have to sign on as the legal mother of a 8-month old baby that was born via surrogate to her and her estranged husband. When the marriage fell apart, Shepherd wanted to back out the deal, but the surrogate, a 23-year old white waitress, was already pregnant and ready to give up the baby. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Shepherd revealed life is difficult, but you keep going. She will now have to pay the legal fees and child support. Her ex-husband, Lamar Sally, has custody of the child, so he will get the money.

Hot Couple Alert: Singer Ciara and NFL Superbowl Champ Russell Wilson. He’s 26, and she’s 29. Ciara is finally stepping up her game after dating Bow Wow, 50 Cent and her baby daddy Rapper Future. Wilson is the quarterback of the Superbowl Championship team The Seattle Seahawks. Wilson is recently divorced from first wife Ashton Meem. Wilson and Ciara made it official to the public this week by attending The White House State Dinner for The Japanese Prime Minister.

Bill Cosby's Far From Finished comedy tour continues. Although protestors have met him at every venue and petitions get there before he does asking venues to cancel the show, attendance is still good. Cosby vows the shows will go on. He's even taken to filming short promotional videos of himself promoting several of his comedy stops that get placed on the internet. Although the list of accusers is near 40, Cosby has never been charged with a crime. The Philly born comedian continues to issue statements that he's Far From Finished.

Queen Latifah's HBO bio-pic about The Empress Of The Blues, Bessie Smith, will air on HBO Saturday, May 16th. Latifah recently open up in Uptown magazine saying this is the first time she has ever been naked in a movie. Bessie Smith was a very popular singer who was also bi-sexual. In the interview, Latifah stated she supports gay rights and would like to see equality for everyone. Latifah also chooses again to shutdown questions about her personal life. Her new HBO movie Bessie also stars Michael K. Williams, Mike Epps, Tika Sumpter, Khandi Alexander and Oscar-winning Comedienne/Actress Mo'Nique as Singer Ma Rainey.

At the movies this week, It’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron with Robert Downey, Jr.

The Queen Of All Media Wendy Williams is on the cover of the May issue of Ebony magazine. She sits down to discuss how she turned her radio brand into an all out empire while having a husband and family along for the ride.

While we're talking all things Wendy, congrats to her for the new clothing line on HSN, The Wendy Williams Collection. It sold out within minutes on the shopping channel. The clothes are chic, comfortable and affordable. Plus, Williams is getting a new show on the Discovery ID Channel called Death By Gossip. She will host the show and also serve as the executive producer.

On DVD and Blu Ray, it’s The Wedding Ringer with Kevin Hart and Josh Gad.

The Steve Harvey TV Talk Show as a big winner at the Daytime Emmys, winning the category Best Talk Show Informative.

The May issue of Essence magazine will feature the game changers. Those are women in the entertainment industry who are changing the perception of how things can get done in Hollywood. The cover women are Filmmaker Ava DuVernay (Selma), Writer/Producer Shonda Rhimes (How To Get Away With Murder/Scandal/Grey’s Anatomy), Writer/Producer Mara Brock Akil (Jumping The Broom; Being Mary Jane, The Game, Girlfriends), Issa Rae (Awkward Black Girl youtube-comedy series) and the legendary Actress/Dancer/Producer/Director Debbie Allen (Amistad; A Different World; Fame; Ragtime; Scandal; Grey’s Anatomy). This issue also celebrates Essence 45th anniversary.

First Lady Michelle Obama, Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex & The City) and Kerry Washington (Scandal) are the cover ladies for the new issue of Glamour Magazine. It’s the magazine's annual Women's Issue. As for the ladies, they are launching their new campaign supporting military women, including veterans, current servicewomen and military wives.

Speaking of Kerry Washington, she’s signed on for the HBO movie the Anita Hill Story. Hill is the woman who accused now Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment on the job. Actor Wendell Pierce (The Wire) will play Clarence Thomas in the movie.

Kelly Rowland is getting a new singing reality show on BET. The show, Chasing Destiny, will debut later this year.

Allen Iverson will go down in history as one of the NBA's greatest basketball players of his generation. He was charismatic, a legend, controversial and complicated. On Saturday, May 16th, the Showtime network will be airing a documentary on the former 76er's life.

HBO will be airing the 2015 induction ceremony for The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame on Saturday, May 30th. Inductees include Singer/Songwriter Bill Withers, who will be honored by Stevie Wonder and John Legend. Ringo Starr will have the honors done by Sir Paul McCartney. With Starr's induction, now all The Beatles are now in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame twice, as Beatles & as solo artists. Lou Reed and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts will also be honored.

Has this feud come to an end, or did someone tell this Actress what's left of her career depends on getting humble? This Actress is backtracking on some harsh remarks made earlier about the business.
