PATTY JACKSON'S 4-1-1
WEEK ENDING: August 22nd, 2014

Comedian Kevin Hart just got engaged, but instead of congratulations, he got hate. "My nephew" announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Eniko Parrish. The problem is it was the same night his ex-wife, Torrei Hart, was in the season premiere of the VH-1 show Atlanta Exes. Kevin took some heat on social media for it, but quickly responded back. The box office champ let it be known he picked Eniko's birthday to propose, and it had nothing to do with a swipe at his ex.

Please stop talking to the press, boo!!!! In a desperate plea to his former fiancee, Multi-media Personality Michael Strahan wants Nicole Murphy to stop talking about him and leaking stories. Strahan is the former Pro NFL star turned TV darling who is feeling the heat from the tabloids. Strahan, 42, had been dating the ex-wife of Comedian/Actor Eddie Murphy for seven years. Strahan and Nicole were engaged for three years. Nicole, 46, reportedly wouldn’t sign a prenup, and there were rumors of her cheating. She claims it was Strahan who was cheating. With success comes the heat, and Strahan, who part of the Good Morning America anchor team, is feeling it. Strahan knows his personal life could affect his many jobs and career. Right now, with his TV gigs, induction into the NFL Hall Of Fame and football analyst work on FOX, Strahan is red hot. He wants to come to an understanding with Nicole on being friends. Strahan is also catching it from his ex-wife Jean Muggli. In the past, she's accused him of cheating, abuse and spying on her sister. Now, Muggli keeps talking to the press about their past marital problems. Strahan won’t comment on anything as he is very private. Plus, he doesn’t want to do anything to jeopardize his booming career.

Could Mariah Carey, 44, bossing Nick Cannon, 33, around cost her the $500 million fortune she's earned all these years in music? Reports say the couple are living apart after six years of marriage and twin babies. Last month, they put their $13 million L.A. mansion up for sale. Carey's career is in a crisis. Her latest album, Me I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse, is not doing well. Carey also severed ties with Jermaine Dupri, the man who gave her most of her hits. She is planning on a world tour, but sources say she maybe going to avoid her problems with Cannon. Carey suspects Cannon of cheating on her, and she has hired security to help keep him away from other woman. Cannon is a success in his own right, hosting NBC’s America's Got Talent, appearing and producing MTV shows and BET’s hit reality spoof Real Husbands Of Hollywood. Cannon has been quiet, and just goes about his daily business of working hard on his projects. Sources say behind the scenes, Mariah's calling the shots could be at the root of the couple's problems.

In a recent interview, Usher talked about his ex-wife Tameka Raymond. Tameka, like Kevin Hat's ex-wife, is also starring in the VH-1 reality show Atlanta Exes. Tameka is the mother of Usher's sons. The turbulent marriage lasted two years 2007-2009 before ending with the singer getting primary custody of the kids. Usher says even though he was warned by him mama, Jonetta Patton, about marrying Tameka, The Good Kisser singer says the marriage was the best mistake he ever made because he realized he didn't know as much as he thought he did. Usher also says the Godfather Of Soul James Brown gave him the best career advice he ever had before Brown died.

Does Whoopi Goldberg want out of the The View? Goldberg is the only one left standing after Barbara Walters retired from the daytime talker. Co-hosts Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd were forced out. Close friends of Goldberg say she has grown tired of the show and wants to do other projects. The View used to be must see TV, but over the past few years viewers have grown tired of the revolving door of hosts. After a tumultuous tenure as moderator in the 2006-2007 season, Comedienne Rosie O’Donnell is rejoining the show. Other major announcements about the show are going to be made any day now. How long will Goldberg stay? Will she break her contract and leave? Will she get along with her her new co-hosts? Hmmmmmmmmm!!!!

The story of the Mother Of Hip Hop, Sylvia Robinson, is coming to the big screen. Robinson became a rap pioneer when she started the legendary Sugar Hill Records with her husband Joe.
