Prosecutors are ready to charge Dr. Conrad Murray in the death of Michael Jackson. Murray will most likely be charged with involuntary manslaughter. He admitted giving Jackson the propofol that killed him. Prosecutors believe it was gross negligence on the part of Murray. The Jackson family is upset. They feel Dr. Murray killed The King Of Pop.

The world premiere video of We Are The World Part II for Haiti relief debuts February 12th during the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics on NBC. Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones assembled a who’s who of superstars including Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, Barbara Streisand, Kanye West, Usher, Celine Dion, Mary Mary, Carlos Santana, Pink, LL Cool J, Snoop, Lil’ Wayne, Janet Jackson (doing her brother Michael’s part), Toni Braxton, Gladys Knight, Tyrese and Natalie Cole, to name a few. There were a lot of stars who did not participate including Jay-Z, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake.

Beyonce has introduced her new fragrance called Heat. Beyonce was a big winner at last week’s Grammy Awards. Even though she says she is going to slow down and take a break, she just keeps going. Her launch party for the new fragrance drew a ton of people, but her dad was noticeably absent. Matthew Knowles has been in hiding since his jumpoff, Alexsandra Knight, gave birth to a baby girl. Knowles refused to acknowledge the little girl, and he is being sued for paternity. Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles, has filed for divorced from her husband. Friends say she was tired of being humiliated by her husband.

Speaking of legal news, Jill Scott is being sued by her record label Hidden Beach. The suit claims Scott left Hidden Beach before completing the three albums left on her contract. The news is better on the acting front for Jill From Philly. Her new Lifetime movie, Sins Of The Mother, airs February 27th. She’s also starring in Tyler Perry new movie Why Did I Get Married Too with Janet Jackson, which hits theatres in April.

Is Usher back with Chilli? The two made a cute couple, but then he dumped Chilli for his stylist, Tameka Foster. His marriage to Foster netted him two kids, but he divorced her. Chilli has a new reality show coming out. Could this be publicity for her? Usher’s new album, Raymond vs. Raymond, comes out next month.

Sly Stone of Sly And The Family Stone is suing his ex-manager for stealing his royalties. The 66-year old music legend says he has been ripped off for the last 20 years. Stone is suing his ex-manager for $50 million.

Robin Thicke has been added to the Alicia Keys spring tour. Melanie Fiona is also on the bill. Thicke is expecting his first child with Actress Paula Patton later this year.

Sade’s new album, Soldier Of Love, is due out on Tuesday, February 9th. She will be announcing her US tour dates soon.

Everyone is buzzing about Jennifer Hudson’s new look. Since she gave birth to her son, she has lost a lot of weight. Hudson looks amazing. She has been wowing everyone on the awards shows. This spring, she heads to Africa to start work on the new Winnie Mandela movie.

Diana Ross is teaming up with Shoe Guru Steve Madden. They will be introducing a new line of shoes this fall.

LeBron James is teaming up with McDonald’s for their new ad campaign. Look for the ads during this year’s Superbowl.

The Academy Awards air March 7th on ABC. The Lee Daniels movie Precious is up for six awards. Gabby Sidibe, who plays “Precious, is up for Best Actress. Mo’Nique, who has already won Golden Globe and SAG Awards, is up for Best Supporting Actress. Can she make it a three-peat? Precious is up for Best Picture and Lee Daniels is nominated for Best Director. In other Academy news, Morgan Freeman is up for his lead role in Invictus where he played Nelson Mandela.

Fantasia’s relationship with her married friend is causing her problems. Fantasia is very close to a married man, Real Estate Agent Antwaun Cook. Cook is married with two kids, and for the past few months, he has been spending time with Fantasia. Cook’s wife is said to be very upset and is considering suing Fantasia for ruining her marriage. Sources say Mrs. Cook is looking into the North Carolina Anti-Jumpoff law where spouses can go after the third party in the relationship. In 2001, a distraught wife won $1.4 million in a lawsuit that she brought against a mistress. Fantasia stays away from her love life in her VH1 reality show. In a statement to People magazine, Fantasia described Cook as a very good friend who is not with his wife.

Oprah’s designer, Nate Berkus, is getting his own show in the fall. The Nate Berkus Show will focus on lifestyle and entertainment.

Former Destiny’s Child Singer LeToya Luckett is starring in the new movie The Preacher’s Kid. Singer Tank also stars.

Alicia Keys, Usher and Shakira are set to perform at the 2010 NBA All-Star Game in Dallas.

Is there a Diddy-J-Lo sex tape? The two had a hot relationship. Word has it they made a sex tape that could come back to haunt them.

The Milli Vanilli movie is a go. Back in 1990, Rob Pilatus won a Grammy as Milli Vanilli for their hit song Girl You Know It’s True. They could dance! They were hot! But, they were fake! After their big win, the two were exposed as not being the real singers, and they lost everything. The lip singing scandal destroyed them, and Fab died a few years later. Were they the victims of a cruel record industry, or were they in on the hoax? The famous music scandal is now going to be told on the big screen.

Iron Mike Tyson is in Italy for their version of Dancing With The Stars. Will he be doing the same for the US version? The new season of Dancing With The Stars kicks off next month.

BET’s Help For Haiti airs on this Friday, February 5th from Miami, Florida. Sean Diddy Combs and Queen Latifah will be hosting. The show will air on BET, MTV and VH1. Mary J. Blige and Robin Thicke are scheduled to appear.

Nicole Murphy, the ex-wife of Eddie Murphy, has launched her jewelry line Friendship, Love And Peace. Murphy says she’s been a wife, mother and girlfriend, and now she’s ready to be a businesswoman. Our condolences go out to Funkateer Icon George Clinton. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer lost his son George, Jr. earlier this week. The 50-year son of Clinton was found dead in his Florida home of natural causes.

Get ready for the return of Dru Hill. Sisqo, Nokio, Jazz and newcomer Tao. Their new album, IndDRUpendence, arrives in stores April 13th. Dru Hill is also ready to debut their new reality show Sweats Platinum House, which will be produced by Keith Sweat and air on BET’s Centric channel.

Upcoming movies for the month of February include Valentine’s Day on February 12th. The movie stars Jamie Foxx, George Lopez, Jessica Alba, Queen Latifah and Julia Roberts, to name a few.
On February 26th, it’s Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan in the movie Cop Out.

VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club is returning. Sergeant Harvey is ready to whip some celebrities into shape, including Kevin Federline and his baby momma, Actress Shar Jackson. Bobby Brown is also part of the pack. The new season of Celebrity Fit Club kicks off February 14th.

VH1 is producing a documentary about the TV show Soul Train. Terrence Howard is narrating the documentary called The Hippest Trip In America. It airs February 5th on VH1.

Toni Braxton has pushed back the date of her latest album Pulse. The album’s new release date is March 2nd.

At the movies this week, John Travolta sports a new look. He’s got a shaved head in the movie From Paris With Love.

On February 11th, PBS presents A Celebration Of Music From The Civil Rights Movement. John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Seal, Smokey Robinson and The Blind Boys Of Alabama will join President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for a special from The White House during Black History Month. The show will be hosted by Oscar Winner Morgan Freeman and Queen Latifah.

Will Celebrity Apprentice help this funny man get out of debt? Actor/Comedian Sinbad is having serious financial problems, and he is going to be a part of the new season of Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice. The show will also feature Holly Robinson Peete, and kicks off March 14th on NBC.

Big Daddy Aaron McCargo, Jr. from the Food Network is working on a cookbook. The book is due out this fall. You can catch Big Daddy’s House on the Food Network every Sunday at 1:30pm.

The NAACP Image Awards air on February 26th on FOX. The Lee Daniels’ movie Precious is leading the pack with 8 nominations. Singer Maxwell leads all entertainers with five nominations.

Philadelphia’s own Bill Cosby will be the 2010 recipient of the Marian Anderson Award. The Marian Anderson Award is an honor that salutes artists whose leadership benefits society. The awards ceremony takes place April 6th at the Kimmel Center, Broad & Spruce. Past winners include Danny Glover, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Gere, Sidney Poitier and Quincy Jones.

The new version of the Karate Kid hits theatres next summer with Jaden Smith, Taraji P. Henson and Jackie Chan.

Get ready for Sarah Jessica Parker and the girls in Sex And The City II coming out next May.

Tyler Perry is going to be in Philadelphia with his latest stage production, Madea’s Big Happy Family. Tix are on sale for the show, which runs April 29th- May 2nd at the Liacouras Center, Broad and Montgomery.

Idris Elba, Michael Ealy and Rapper T.I. will be starring in the new movie Takers, which opens in theatres February 19th, 2010. Elba has also signed on for the movie Thor, where he will play a superhero.
